All our Rapés are traditional and made by indigenous people from the many different tribes. Each rapé is sustainably produced by the tribes with the wisdom of their elders. All rapés contain Nicotina Rustica, ashes, a mix of plants and one plant that gives the specific power to that rapé.

Rapé in the Kaxinawa tribe is using for various purposes, such as relieving physical pain and headaches, cleaning the sinuses and relieving clogging. In addition, Kaxinawa uses Rapé for mental healing what allows us to be more present in here and now, mainly in conjunction with chanting. Rapé connects the tribe with the jungle spirits and – depending on the exact ingredients – can heal, increase concentration, improve hunting or be a spiritual link.

About the Kaxinawá tribe:

The Kaxinawá people (Huni Kuin) are indigenous people of Brazil and Peru. The Kaxinawá are also known as the Cashinauá, Caxinauá. This name come from Kaxi or “bat” and Nawa meaning people but may also mean people who walk about at night. Their autonym is Huni Kuin or “real men” or “true people”, from huni, “man”, and kuin meaning “real” or “true”. Their language belongs to the Pano linguistic family, which they call hatxa-Kuin (true language). The population is approximately 4,000 people. The Kaxinawa account for 42% of the indigenous population of Acre state in Western Brazil.
